Consumer Affairs Victoria has issued a Public Warning Notice under the Australian Consumer Law, warning people from buying from a baby products retailer, GL4EVER Pty Ltd, trading as Baby Direct (ACN: 150 606 652).
Baby Direct is a Melbourne-based retailer selling baby products, including furniture, prams and toys, via baby-direct.com.au, as well as in physical stores.
Consumer Affairs Victoria has received a high number of contacts about the company, including allegations that Baby Direct:
- advertised and sold goods that weren’t available
- didn't provide goods within a reasonable time
- didn't offer refunds when requested.
