What is MyBond?

MyBond is the new online bond management system. MyBond will replace the current paper based process.

Tenants, property owners and property agents will be able to access MyBond from 1 May 2019.

MyBond for existing tenants

  • Pay a bond
  • Claim and dispute rental bonds
  • View and edit contact information
  • Check the progress of a lodgement or claim

MyBond for property agents

CBOS will be running a virtual forum for property agents on 4th April at 8.30 am - 9.30 am. A registration link will be circulated in March 2019.

Organisations renting a property on behalf of staff

Note: If you believe you have a rental bond held by the Rental Deposit Authority valued at $100 or less, please contact the Rental Deposit Authority on 1300 654 499.

Security

MyBond uses two-factor authentication. To sign in, users will need to have a valid email address or mobile number to receive a verification code. Two-factor authentication provides a way of 'double-checking' that you’re really the person you’re claiming to be when you log in. While it does add an extra step to the login process, it provides a much stronger defence for your account.

The MyBond system is compliant with the 26Ten principles of plain English and readability.
