Certified plumbing products - WaterMark

Material and product failures in plumbing installations can cause failure of plumbing systems and lead to contamination of the water system. The WaterMarkᵀᴹ Certification Scheme (WMCS) is a mandatory certification scheme for plumbing and drainage products to ensure that plumbing and drainage materials and products are fit-for-purpose and appropriately authorised for use in plumbing installations. The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) manages and administers the WMCS.

Products exempted from WMCS

The WMCS provides for the exemption from WaterMark certification.  Products which been exempted can be found on the WaterMark List of Exempt Materials and Products.
