Meeting the criteria - how CPD activity is assessed

To assist training providers in applying for CPD approval, we provide the following information.

Examples of subjects that CPD can cover:

  • Accredited courses - certificate, diploma, or degree;
  • Technical skills short courses – e.g. waterproofing;
  • Refresher / update - Australian Standards, NCC;
  • Industry association forums;
  • Business topics - management, financial planning, strategic planning, succession planning, taxation laws;
  • Health and safety issues – work, health and safety laws, first aid training, focus on a specific risk, eg asbestos;
  • Personal development - leadership, assertiveness, dealing with bullying, conflict resolution and communication.
