Bushfire Guidance Handbooks – How They Support Better Outcomes

With the recent publication of two new Handbooks by Standards Australia, information supporting both industry and consumers understanding of what can be done to improve the performance of dwellings from the threat of bushfire has never been better. With considerable input from AIBS Fellow Colin Wood, each handbook is set to become an invaluable reference.

This webinar will provide an opportunity to gain a depth of familiarity with the content of the Handbooks that cannot be achieved by simply reading them. Dr Graham Douglas, who has also played an important part in the development of these Handbooks, will describe the key elements of their content and how these will support building surveying practice and how building surveyors can support confidence of homeowners in bushfire-prone areas.
