Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS), is reviewing the Residential Building Work Contracts and Dispute Resolution Regulations 2016 (the Regulations). Tasmanian regulations are required to be remade every decade and the Regulations will expire in November 2026.
We are seeking input from stakeholders to ensure the Regulations reflect community and stakeholder needs. It is our intention to collaborate with the affected stakeholders directly to achieve this.
We are specifically seeking your views on the following question:
- Is there anything in the Regulations that needs to be varied, added or removed?
Please note that this is only the first step in our consultation process, and further consultation, including any substantive changes to the Regulations, will occur as the process progresses.
