TasTAFE Plumbing CPD Program

Content and Duration

This is a 4-hour course that includes the following:

1. Compliance requirements of the Building Act 2016 and PCA
2. Interpretation of the DTS solution AS/NZS 3500.1:2021 and AS/NZS 3500.4:2021, including:
   1. Water velocity, flow rates, pressure losses
   2. Probable simultaneous flow rates (PSFR’s)
   3. Branch off-takes
   4. Equivalent pipe size SDR’s
   5. DTS sizing procedure for Class 1 buildings

Pre-Requisites

Open to all building designers and plumbers with a current ‘Practitioner’ or ‘Certifier’ license

Outcome

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded Statements of Attendance documenting the number of CPD points earned. (This course is not a substitute for Cert IV license units)
