AAV and Sanitary Stack Design - Refresher Course

TasTAFE Plumbing CPD Program

This is a 4-hour course that includes the following:

1. Compliance requirements of the Building Act 2016 and NCC 2022
2. Interpretation of the DTS solution AS/NZS 3500.2:2021, including:
   1. Review of Elevated Pipework design including branch drain connection requirements
   2. AAV application, sizing and installation requirements
   3. Review of RVASS and Fully Vented Mod design and installation requirements
   4. Specific connection requirements including FWG’s over habitable areas, baths with concealed traps, commercial fixtures, urinals, clothes washing machine standpipes, etc.
   5. Stack vent fixture unit loadings and application of vent rating system

Pre-Requisites

Open to building designers and all plumbers with a current ‘Practitioner’ or ‘Certifier’ license

Outcome

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded Statements of Attendance documenting the number of CPD points earned. (This course is not a substitute for Cert IV license units)
